I don’t want it to all be about me.
I don’t want any of them to see me.
I don’t want anyone to even look my way.
I want them to never hear my voice.
I want them to never feel my pain.
I want them instead to see His face.
I want them to feel His embrace.
I want them to know Him alone.
I want them to feel that gain.
I don’t want it to be about me.
I don’t want them to ask how I am.
I don’t want them to wonder.
I just want them to view His holy splendor.
I don’t want them to know my name.
I just want them to seek the one who was slain.
I want “I” to be gone, and “me” to disappear;
And instead the “I AM” be all that they hold dear.
I want “I” to be gone, and “me” to disappear;
And instead the “I AM” be all that they hold dear.
